Today we dug in the dirt to find a few Witchetty grubs. The Witchetty grub was an important insect in the Aboriginal diet. This grub is living in tree roots, is typically 7cm long and is a wood-eating larva of various Australian moths. The grubs are eaten raw or cooked in ashes and their meat is rich in protein...
