Alice Springs
Welcome in Alice Springs. Alice Springs is quite small (pop 25,000), it just lives on tourism. After checking-in, we hired a bike and made a bike-tour to the Desert Park... almost crazy to hire a bike if outside it is more than 35°... The Desert Park represents the region's unique flora and fauna. The park touches on the traditional relationship of Aboriginal people with the land. And if it wouldn't be as hot as it was, you could spend the half day on walking around and have a look at all these beautiful plants and animals.
The only thing, which was really annoying, was, that in Alice Springs were so many little flies. They were everywhere and you spent the whole time to get them out of your face. That was Renada at the desert park protectin herself of the flies... and that's Renada after buying this really funny looking headnet.. but it worked!
