Alcalá de Henares

After a few amazing days with Pedro I visited Manolo´s family in Alcalá and although they didnt know me, they let me stay at their house and I spent two days there.

Lolo´s mum and me went to a sightseeing tour and damn, Alcalá is bigger and more historic than I imagined. Alcalá was the first city specifically founded as a university, by Cardinal Cisneros in 1499.
It is also the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, the guy who wrote "Don Quijote".

"University of Alcalá"

The city is so pretty. There are stork nests on the top of buildings, nice parks and heaps of things to see. I really like its mixture of old and modern architecture and buildings..
And although Lolo´s mum doesn´t speak english at all, we got along with each other very well and of necessity my spanish gets better and better... I really had a blast..

Manolito, how your grandmother says, I am so happy that I had the chance to meet your family. They are incredible... I love them. Mucias gracias por todo to your dad, mum and sister for the book (I already started reading it), their hospitality, time and effort they spent me having nice days. I really appreciate it and enjoyed my time there. I hope I can see them again soon... Unfortunately Germany did loose yesterday- no final Germany- Portugal... But I want u to know: U r still always welcome here!!! ;-)
Muchas gracias y besitos!!!!

Madrid is chameleonic. After shopping in one of the biggest shopping centres and 35 degrees outside you can go snowboarding in an indoor skiing hall in the shopping centre...

I never would have seen all those beautiful things if I hadnt had the best tourguide ever..Muchas gracias, Pedro. For organizing all the trips, your patience while I was intoxicated with shopping and the time u spent with me.. I really hope u will find a bit time to visit me in Germany for a couple days. U would like it. you always have a place to stay there!!!! Trolito, te hucho mucho de menos!!! Besitos

CUENCA

By car Cuenca is located 2 hours in the east of Madrid. It is a beautiful and ancient city and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Marta, a friend of Pedro lives in a small apartment in the old part of the city. It was beautiful.. The architecture, the cathedral, the nature and the amazing view from the top of the hill...

Palomares del campo

Next day we went to Rastro, a huge market in Madrid...

and to Pedro's parents and some friends ("Palomares del campo"), un poco pueblo cerca de Madrid for having lunch before driving to Cuenca...

Gay Parade

While I was waiting for the check-in at the airport on friday, there were like 30 amazing good looking guys waiting with me. I couldnt even believe it. Seriously, it was a dream.. Who the hell were they and why does such a big group of gorgeous guys fly out of Germany while we are playing in the World Soccer Cup? Football club? Sports club? A bachelor party? I couldnt really imagine and figure out why so many gorgeous guys were flying to Madrid this weekend...BUT: Now I know: These days were the days of the "Gay pride weekend"...It is a gay and lesbian party (demonstration) in Madrid where the saturday features a massive parade through the city center with dozens of trucks. FUCKING AMAZING!!!..GUAPOS....

MADRID

Hola chicos.. First at all: I passed my exam!!! I am so glad this is done- I really was on the verge of going insane. Now I need to study for my last exams end of July before I finally graduate. Anyway, last friday I went to Spain for a couple days to relax a bit and see my friend Pedro again. What can I say.. It was an amazing weekend... Here some pics of Madrid, un poco sightseeing and partying with Pedro and some friends..
Viva espana!!
