I already miss you guys!

Today is a really sad day. I just came back from Sydney. I was there to say goodbye to Newy and Rich. They left me and went back to the States. :-(
I am sure I already told you, but... It was one of my best Aussie-experiences to meet you. It seems like we met the first time yesterday. Time flew...

I am so lucky that I was at Jesmond this day and met you there, Newy. What can I say? We had such a great time together. Partying, drinking, just being lazy, beach, eating a lot of candy, cooking together, Blue Mountains, Brisbane, Sandboarding, our girl talk... I will never forget! I love u, gurl! We will keep in touch, for sure, and meet again latest on your or mine wedding!! Well, probably this is going to be our wedding then... ;-) Thanks for being my friend, Newy. You are wonderful! Take care of you! I miss you!

And Rich: After jumping on the table with beer bottles and standing bleeding on the street then, sleeping on the ground, eating your daily train ticket, getting lost on the way to the supermarket, loosing our paintings, breaking my spoon, getting fired twice a week, breaking the chair, already missing your flight, puking on the bar of the Great Northern, swimming in the Brisbane river with bullsharks, got kicked out of the bar in Sydney, which was BTW really rude ;-) ... I just can say: I love to be with you! Thanks for the wonderful time (Melbourne, Sydney, Blue Mountains, partying, beach or just relaxing...). Stay the way you are. You are awesome! I already miss you!

Hey everybody... what happened the last week here in Newcastle and in my life? Well, the most important thing: My finals are done!!! I think I passed all my classes, which would be really awesome! And then I just have to write this paper for my uni in Germany and after that nothing to do until April. :-) Today I read about the snowstorm in Germany. Kind of weird, coz here in Australia it's getting hotter and hotter. Lucky girls, that they come to visit me in a few weeks. BTW: I cant wait that you are here. Our trip is goin' to be awesome!!! What else have I done? Last week I was with Andy, Rich and Newy for a few days in Brisbane. Just a bit sightseeing, relaxing, drinking and having fun. It was a great trip.. Thanks guys... I will post some pics later...

Ah, I should not forget to tell you about the movie they shot here in Newcastle. The last days Kings Street (one of the main streets here in Newcastle) was closed... They shot a scene for the new "Superman" movie..here in Newcastle, close to my home- how cool is that? If somebody of you watchs this movie, please remind: I was there, when the police car in front of the treasury explodes...

What's goin' on in Australia?

Well, at the moment not much. I have 2 finals next week (monday and thursday) and if i am honest, I haven't really started studying yet. Usually I panic a bit about my exams, but here downunder... there is no way to study. I cannot really concentrate... Well, sometimes I try to study, but unfortunately I mostly fall asleep after a few minutes reading all this boring stuff. I prefer to spend more time on the beach, hanging out with my friends or posting my blog than starting to study seriously. But who cares: Life is too short to waste your time with boring stuff like that. Hence, I decided that it will be enough just to pass my classes and focus more on enjoying my life... So, everybody do it like I do: Don't dream your life, live your dream!!! Kisses to everybody...

Blue Mountains

This weekend we went to the Blue Mountains. Actually we wanted to camp, but the weather was too bad. Yep, sometimes it is raining in Australia. Not often, but sometimes it happens... and unfortunately this weekend. But who cares... so, we stayed at the YHA. We visited the "Three Sisters"...

Melbourne Cup 2005

The Melbourne Cup- what is it?
This day is Australia's most famous Tuesday and it's one of the world's famoust challenging horse races. The winner gets a prize money of about $5.1 million!!! It's a day when the nation stops whatever it's doing to listen to the race call, or watch the race on TV, and even those who don't usually bet, try their luck. And when I say the nation stops, then it stops! Shops are closed, lectures in school take a break and it seems they really think about to make this day to a national public holiday... Everybody ia dressing up, wearing hats, drinking champagne and watching the horse run... By the way: "Diva" won the Melbourne Cup- three times in a row!!!
